Batu Caves

The temple complex in Batu Caves has three caves, one of which is adorned with idols and painted scenes from the Hindu scriptures. Batu Caves attracts thousands of visitors during the sacred human festival, Thaipusam. The Subramaniam Swamy Temple is nestled in a cavern, 100 metres high and 80 metres deep, is the ultimate destination for the kavadi-carrying Hindu devotees who climb the 272 steps to fulfil their vows.
